Accessibility and security

How do I know the site is legitimate?

Verifying the legitimacy of a website is crucial for online security. The domain will remain the same (https://www.ncpafcu.org). If members have bookmarked our site, they will be redirected to the new ncpafcu.org.

Here are some tips to follow to ensure it is our legitimate site:

  • Check the URL: Ensure the URL in the address bar is exactly https://www.ncpafcu.org and doesn't contain any misspellings or additional characters.
  • Look for HTTPS when signing in to Press Pass: A secure website will use https://, the “s” indicates a secure connection, and it's standard for websites that handle sensitive information.
  • Check for a secure connection:
    • If using Edge or Safari, in the address bar there should be a padlock icon, indicating a secure connection.
    • If using Chrome, there is a settings icon next to the URL in the address bar. Clicking this will open a small pop-up with site information. This pop-up will state the site is secure.
