Irregular Card Activity Alerts

The Credit Union continuously monitors for irregular activity occurring on your cards. If irregular card activity is detected on your Visa® Debit or Credit card, you may receive an Irregular Card Activity Alert via text message asking you to verify the transaction.1

How the Service Works
No Registration:
You do not have to register to receive Irregular Card Activity Alerts; however, you must be enrolled in our online services and have agreed to the terms of our Online Services Agreement. You must also maintain your current text number with us.

Receive an Alert:
If irregular activity is detected on your card, you may receive an automated alert on your mobile device asking you to verify the transaction. You will receive these alerts from short code 23618 for your Visa Debit Card and short code 72799 for your Visa Credit Card. Message frequency varies because these alerts are only sent when there is suspicion of fraud.

Respond to the Alert:
When you receive an Irregular Card Activity Alert on your mobile device, simply reply to the text with either ‘YES’ to verify the transaction or ‘NO’ to indicate the transaction was not authorized by you. Additional instructions will follow.

You may choose at any time to withdraw your consent to receive Irregular Card Activity Alerts and cancel them either by responding ‘STOP’ to an alert notification or contacting our 24/7 Member Services.

Participating Carriers
Irregular Card Activity Alerts are being sent Free-To-End-User meaning you will incur no charges from your wireless provider. Carrier participation is limited. Participating carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Boost. Participating carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Irregular Card Activity Alerts are an additional precaution we take to prevent fraud. If you are unable to receive or respond to irregular activity text notifications for any reason, the Fraud Prevention team will call you when suspicious card activity has been detected.

The Credit Union will not ask for personal information or security credentials such as your Username/Password, PIN, or one-time passcode information. If you are unsure about a text you have received or have questions, please contact our 24/7 Member Services at (888) 732-8562.

1Irregular Card Activity Alerts are available only on Visa cards. CashPoints cards do not bear the Visa logo and are not included in this service.
